Greetings! We are in the beginning stages of planning our Timberleaf Tribe 2018 Campout. We have secured the dates of September 14th-16th at the Chapman Group Campground located in Pitkin County, Colorado in the White River National Forest.

Coordinates: 39°18'30"N, 106°37'59"W

We are asking for a $25 registration fee per person. This will go toward covering the campground fee, as well as food and swag. This can be paid by cash, check, or credit card over the phone.

Below is a map to assist in navigating to the campground. We recommend downloading and/or printing the directions, as cell service past Basalt typically fades out fairly quickly. The road from Basalt to the campground is a winding mountain road, but is paved the whole way until the turnoff. Depending on the time of day you head up, expect to see a number of cyclists on the road, and please be cautious -- there is no available shoulder for them to ride on.

From Glenwood Springs:

  • Head south on Grand through Glenwood Springs.

  • 1 h 23 min (50.8 mi)

    • Head south on Grand Ave toward 9th St - 1.1 mi

    • Continue onto CO-82/S Glen Ave

    • Continue to follow CO-82 - 12.0 mi

    • Continue straight onto CO-82 E - 7.4 mi

  • Turn left onto 2 Rivers Rd - 1.7 mi

  • Turn left onto Frying Pan Rd - 19.4 mi

Follow Chapman Campground Rd to the group camp area. We will have signage up in the camp area directing you to the group campsite.

Please call us in advance if the directions are unclear. We will be unavailable to help on the 14th.
